the world within

there are times when you want it so much, but you don't get it
while there are other people who don't want it, they just get it
when you desire for it, you hope that your dream will come true
when you hate it, you just hope that they will not pester you

life is so complicated
a lot of things just don't go according to your wish
it's always going against you
making life so miserable for you

why is the world so unfair
shouldn't all be treated equally
why do all the good things being distributed to others
and leaving the bad things for me to suffer

my wish is so simple, but yet it's never been fulfilled
i've prayed and plead with you, i wonder if you ever heard
i've now totally given up hope and prepared to suffer in silence
maybe i just don't deserve to have my wish(s) granted

i'm just like an empty bottle being filled up with air
but the sense of emptiness is still always there
you thought you know what i want and how i feel
but it's just a wrong thought you never knew
